Frequently Asked Questions
🕉️
Essential guidance regarding Vastu principles, idol maintenance, transit safety, and order placement.
1. Which trunk direction of Lord Ganesha is recommended for home mandirs? +
For residential shrines, an idol with the trunk curving towards the LEFT (Vamamukhi or Ida Nadi) is ideal. It represents calm, soothing, and easily pleased energy (Bhakti Bhava). Idols with the trunk curved to the RIGHT (Dakshinabhimukhi / Surya Nadi) embody intense spiritual tapasya and demand rigorous daily rituals following temple Agamas.
2. Are these idols cast in 100% solid brass or are they hollow? +
Every brass idol crafted by Divine Ganesh is made from 100% solid heavyweight virgin brass using traditional lost-wax casting (Madhuchishta Vidhana). We strictly prohibit hollow castings, scrap metal blends, or resin filler mixtures.
3. How do you protect the idol from damage during courier delivery? +
We treat each sacred murti with paramount reverence. Idols are wrapped in butter paper, cushioned within a customized high-density shock-absorbing foam mold, and packed inside heavy 5-ply reinforced export crates. In the rare case of transit damage, we immediately provide an express replacement at zero cost to you under our transit insurance.
4. How do I maintain and clean the brass idol at home? +
Simply dust with a soft, dry cotton or microfiber cloth daily before aarti. For periodic deep cleaning, mix natural tamarind pulp or Pitambari powder with a few drops of water, gently apply over the brass surface, rinse immediately with clean water, and dry thoroughly with a soft towel to prevent water droplet spots.
5. Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available for my address? +
Yes! We provide Cash on Delivery across 19,000+ PIN codes throughout India. You can test your specific PIN code on any product page using our live serviceability tool.
6. Can I perform water and panchamrit abhishek on the idol? +
Yes, our solid virgin brass and Panchdhatu idols are completely suitable for water, milk, honey, and panchamrit abhishek during festivals. Ensure you gently pat the idol dry with a clean cloth immediately following rituals.
